The Question....
Posted On 09/27/2007 16:24:45
Today, after some light reading on a certain subject I ran across a Quote from an anonymous person in the article it simply said, "Does God create the brain or does the brain create God?"

Personally,I think it should have been "Did God create the Brain or did the brain create God"... but that is unimportant. I was a C student in English and literature so what do I know? lol

Anyhow, I was surprised after I posted it and came back from errands how many replies I had to my question. This was more rhetorical than anything as it was a quotation not an actual question.

I had several that I guess I must be on their messenger from like YEARS ago, cuz I have no clue who they are. For whatever reason they seemed compelled to let me know their answer to the question. So, as of now the running tally of opinion givers is:

14-Brain creates God
8- God created the brain

This isn't a debate. I already know where I stand on the subject. You don't have to answer, as I am not asking the question. I just thought it was interesting so many people feltcompelled to answer.

Whatever your stand is on the subject, remember it is YOURS and no one else's. Who cares what the neighbor thinks huh?

I'm a little worried about the KU game. Anyone else?
Posted On 09/23/2007 19:19:32

Here I sit with about $250 plus sitting on this KU game in Nov. Thinking I would be pretty safe. They got their first win in 30some years and got that out of their system; we seemed to be getting better.

Todd Ressing hasnt thrown for under 300 yards since they started the season. Reesing has hit 73 of 125 passes for 1,119 yards and 11 TDs; he has yet to start a 4th quarter because they were kicking ass by then on all their games. They havent scored less then 45 pts in a game yet.

I dunno. Just some thoughts on it. I guess I am starting to get a little worried. Should be a cake walk, but seeing how our defense has a "few" things they need to brush up on *Replacing the defensive Coordinator being one of them* Excuse me for digressing there; I am just starting to wonder if I made a bad decision on my betting. *Which is with monopoly money as betting with real money is illegal*

Updated!:Some boy planned conspiracy......?
Posted On 09/17/2007 15:38:23
I wanna know if this is some conspiracy and if this happens to other girls.

So,I have not had A/C for 2 weeks since a T-storm was in my city and knocked my power out. The outside A/C unit worked after I flipped all the breakers, but the inside blower wouldnt work no matter what I did.

I call the landlord, who gives me the number of the fixer boy, who doesnt call me back. Lucky me though, it was super nice and cool last week so I didnt really fret much about it. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE cold weather. I am allergic to hot. *seriously* Bad reactions to babies and hot weather,it has stumped doctors.

Anyhow, I finally call the landlord and say, "Hey, my office in the third floor of my house and I work at home and it is 90 outside and like 98 up here, I HAVE to get this fixed before I die" *Ok so I left the "before I die" part out, but it's how I felt.* He calls the fixer boy, who promptly calls and comes over.

He spends a whole, 5 minutes playing with wires, I am on thermastat duty and get the privledge of running up and down stairs 20 times to turn it on, off, to heat, to A/C, to fan only and so on. He jiggles some wires, and VWALLA! It works. *ggrr* How is that!?

Same happens with my car, I take it in after I am SURE it will do whatever stupid thing it is doing so they dont give me that boy look, you know the one "She must be on crack, her car is fine"...that one. The car never does it either when I'm there. *huffs*

Any girls have this happen to them? And boys, is this some kind of secret boy society's plan to make us feel stupid?

AH HA! So, since the fixer boy only did it half assed and wiggled wires it is now not working. I need a new blower. You know..*as I digress* if this was the fixer boys blower that wasnt working properly he wouldnt have half ass'd it and just wiggled some damn wires!

Some peoples children!
Posted On 09/14/2007 00:05:05

My friend and I were out at our normal hang out tonight for supper relaxing and chatting about our day. We are avid people watchers, so if the "odd" customer comes in we are somewhat amused in watching them.

Well, tonight we were chatting and chillin' when this family came in. They looked, well I felt over dressed in a T-shirt and the fact my hair was in a ponytail, I will put it that way. They had a little toddler with them. Which as soon as we seen that we groaned a little. It is no big shock I am not a little kid person, especially toddlers; they are usually bratty and unruly and loud and tend to interrupt my chatting quiet time with my friends in restaurants.

Anyhow, our server came over to us and warned us about this little boy who I would assume is 3ish. Apparently he and his family was in a couple weeks ago, told the server to "shut up" and then threw a shoe; almost hitting a
customer in the head!

Well, having already told one person off
this week I told my friend he could do that, cuz I  was in no mood to put up with brats and would let them know. **Hey, for you parents out there, if you aren't gonna control your children and they get in MY space, you bet your ass I'm gonna tell your brat to go away. I have ZERO problems doing so!**

So, we wait for the terror child to act up. He is pretty loud, then we decided he isn't gonna be much fun to watch so we continue on with our chatting when all of a sudden in a super loud toddler voice we hear him tell his mom to "Shut
the **** up". Yup, He said it. We looked at each other like, Ummm; did he really just say that? Yes, he did. His mom said, "We don't talk like that". Sure, ya don't mom, how else did a little 3 year old hear that phrase?

Later on, He is jumping over the booth to the other seats, causing a stir and you hear "SMACK!", apparently she picked NOW to try and punish her child after he has disrupted the whole restaurant and he told her to Shut the **** up. We left earlier than normal. We
both, but I will speak for myself here, have NO tolerance for that BS. I only feel I can speak out boldly about small children's behavior in public because mine wasn't allowed to do that.

lol, if we even thought about disrupting my parent's dinner as kids we either 1.
Were taken to the "bathroom". 2 was taken to the "car" and left there while they finished their meal or 3 we all left and there was hell to pay when we got home. Not in an abusive way, but in the old-fashioned way when parents had the right to discipline their children.

Anyway, I just think it is crap. Keep your kids at home, if they are going to terrorize the public. Better yet, learn how to be a better parent.

*steps off soap box*

*again, not sure why it messes up my paragraphs but it was edited properly before posting*

Can't buy quality stuff anymore!
Posted On 09/12/2007 16:21:42
So,I bought a $100 key board at the end of June some Microsoft Super 1200Ergonomic one cuz I cannot type on a normal keyboard to save my life. My “v” Key is broke. Therefore, I run it into the store; I have my box and everything for it, since it is out of 30 days I cannot return it and need to buy a new one! WTF. I mean I understand I am hard on my keyboards and monitors cuz I work at home and work several hours a week so it’s on a lot and used often. But COME ON! It hasnt been 3 months yet! *ggrr*

I also have a teenager who likes to slam my keyboard buttons. My last twokeyboards were actually the original ergonomic ones I received with my two Gateways, one in 99’ and one in 01. The towers had to be upgraded of course and switched out but the keyboards JUST broke in June of this year. Bad part about them they were WHITE, so they got dirty really fast, but had all the button letters on it still. This one is black, has browser controls on it, volume controls and a bunch of other nonsense I don’t need and almost all the letters printed on the keys are gone, in just over 2 months. Nice, you just can’t get quality anymore. *sigh*

Ramblings about Myspace, Dating and stuff..
Posted On 09/11/2007 15:36:35

So,I have now been on Myspace for a couple weeks seem settled in. I think I am denying more friend "requests" than accepting. Since I am using that as my personal place amongst other
sites, I guess I am fussy who is on my "list".

Then I find myself accepting people, and then deleting them off in a week or so. I mean, if ya aren't gonna talk to me why the heck should I have to stare at your picture every time I log in? I dunno, just my thoughts on that.

I see some people have 40+ or 100+, is there some secret contest to have the most "friends" on your list I am unaware of? Or is this just easy perving for some, to keep track of them?

I go thru my yahoo messenger monthly and if I haven't heard from ya, you aren't there. I always keep it under 30 people. Nothing personal, just trying to keep my friends list tidy is all. *shrugs*

I have to say the comment deal is probably my most favorite part. I read the occasional blog post since that is the most interesting. Nevertheless, seems the fun of it all lasted a whole week. lol

The blogwriting was something newer for me, as far as sharing. I don't think I will share stuff about me persay, or anything of importance but it is a nice release when you have things you need to get off your chest. Even if people you don't know are reading it. Some very nice people have
emailed and commented to my blogs there about about my friend. It is nice people care. Sometimes you wonder about people in general.

None of my high school friends is on here that I can find. Probably cuz most are married small town people and don't "Myspace". I do run across a few married folks on here, but seems to be a small number. I seem to run into my brothers age people 24-26ish from my hometown. However, they are in college and such or the army.

As far as "men" people. They are the same there as on any dating site/social site you belong too. They don't read your profile. LOL I know you are all shocked they
go on picture only. I happen to read men's profiles just because there are some things such as baby wanting or having them in their possession that are just deal breakers before it even starts. It does make me laugh the ones that say, "Looks don't matter, just have a sense of humor and no
drama and Im good"..LMFAO Uhhh, ya right. Who you think you're foolin'.

Of course, my pessimistic attitude is I feel and recently shared with a friend that dating sites are just a glorified prostitution ring and they're the pimps, it's the truth. Now, there are those searching to DATE. However, it all comes down to being intimate eventually, in my opinion.

Even if you date or just look for a fling. What does happen usually
right out the gate? Sex or Kissing at the very least. Some prefer to
get it out of the way immediately, cuz if they suck, why bother right?
I dunno. Just my take on it.

I am really interested in the fact the older I get, when you say you cant have babies and I know there are a couple of you out there who can't due to choices you made. That some seem to think that automatically makes you fling material only. Do you find that? Want an example?

Guy: Hi, 32 M KS do you have kids?
Me: Hello, 31 F KS, ya I do one.
Guy: Cool, Ya I want some one day or more.
Me: Well mine is 15 here soon, I am done can't have anymore.
Guy: Oh, so you are good for a fling then?

I shit you not people. This has happened the last four guys that have IMd me. So what, just because you don't want to MAKE a family this automatically takes you out of the running for making a real dating relationship work? I seriously would like to know why that is.

Personally, having an almost grown child and no small children should be a benefit to dating. No babysitter issues,no little kid baggage, etc etc.*chuckles* Ya, I said it..little kids equal baggage to me. So sue me.

Anyhow, so that was a lot of writing about nothing, huh? lol

*and why do I have to edit my blog everytime I post it! It screws up my sentence and paragraphs* I really dont type this badly, FYI. Ok Im really done now.

Why us parents Drink..
Posted On 09/07/2007 15:03:02

*My son is 15, I am pretty sure he would be gettin' a hurtin' if he did this too me!*

A mother passing by her son's bedroom was astonished to
see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up.

Then
she saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was
addressed to "Mom." With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope
with trembling hands and read the letter.

Dear Mom:

It
is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope
with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and
you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice.
But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercings,
tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older
than I am. But it's not only the passion...Mom she's pregnant. Stacy
said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and
has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of
having many more children.

Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact
that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for
ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for
cocaine and ecstasy. In the meantime we will pray that science will
find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it. Don't
worry Mom. I'm 15 and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm
sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your
grandchildren.

Love,
Your Son Jon

P.S. Mom, none
of the above is true. I'm over at Tommy's house. I just wanted to
remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card
that's in my center desk drawer.

I love you. Call me when it's safe to come home.
