My guess would be a lower conf. successful HC such as the HC of Boise State, or maybe Cincinatti. With them would have to hire a top notch DC, maybe Sanders, and fill out position coaches with some EX NU - Jason Peter - DL, Frost - DB, etc.
I just do not see them taking a chance on Gill or Pelini, althought the people's choice, not the best choice. Both have good qualities, but I do not see top school head coaching talent there.

Unfortunatley who ever is chosen, unless it is TG, we will have a turnover of coaches every 5-7 years like every other program, which they will move onto the next big thing. Is that the type of coacxh we want or need? Pederson, that suck job, ruined Nebraska Football as we all know it. He personally changed what is known as NEBRASKA FOOTBALL. It was unique, family-like, and that is why this person from way east, and with no affiliation to the State or the University loved that program. TO either has to return it to Husker Family with modern coaching playbooks/schemes, or go the other route in which NU football will not have its own identity any longer. And you will continue to see seesaw groups of years
