Missed blocks. No defense. No offense. Sloppy coverage, its no wonder USC walked all over us.

I don't know about you but I'm really tired of Callahan's offensive play calling. I can't be the only one who's sick and tired of him calling the same 3 rush plays on 3rd down time and time again.

Granted yes USC is amazing, but the game should have been closer. Much closer. A very disappointing game.

I like Callahan overall BUT he is not able to adjust from his gameplan when it is clearly not working.  He should have abondoned the run up the middle because it was not working.  Swing Lucky out for receptions (which worked) and throwing downfield which also worked.  NU did this in the first and last 10 mins of the game and that worked.  Tom Osborne (love him) use to do the same thing though.  Frank's teams had no other choice.  The West Coast offense is suppose to be able to 90% run, or 50/50 run/pass or 90% pass on a team.  Callahan stuck with 50/50 when he should have gone 90% pass but without those swing passes.  The passes under 5 yards we not working.  The downfield passes were.

Why did Wake Forest keep doing those WR end arounds?  Because they worked.  You have to stick with what works.

Defense up the middle and tackling is a different story.

Well, I feel much better having seen that we made a slight come back in the fourth quarter against USC's 3rd and 4th strings. At least we still played hard till the fat lady sang.

Good job Huskers! USC was a tough team to play and you did a good job.

NE never got a good rushing attack going.  You can't be one dimensional in your offense.  As for defense, you can call the best defensive plays you want, but if your team doesn't tackle you got nothing.  In the big scheme of things USC is a very good team.  Getting beat by a very good team doesn't mean you're bad, it just means you've got alot more to prove.  On the bright side, it took Osborn 20 years to get a title, so Callahan still has some time.
