So I had the awesome gift of getting to drive through Grand Island this weekend and I must say, wow what a shithole.

 

We made the mistake to stop at their mall (The Conestoga) thinking they would be a food court and nope, there was one Chinese restaurant next to the world's shittest pizza place Sabarros. I'm pretty sure I was the only white girl in the enitre place.


I always thought my college friends who were from GI were always over playing how shitty their town was before, boy was I wrong.

 

What happened to the good old Nebraska towns? So sad.

LOL, I'm from G.I. and it wasn't all that bad growing up there.

I still have family there and there are good parts to it, you just need to know where to go and what time to go.

I grew up in Doniphan which is south of there and GI was "the" big town we went too. Some went to Hastings, which I think is a ..well..Not very nice town either. lol

The conestoga is a sad sad mall. I dont know why they just dont shut it down personally.

 

You have my deepest sympathies for wasting your time there. There is a excellent Mexican restaurant right by the mall, you cant miss it..it is like Yellow and Red talk about a eye sore, but EXCELLENT margaritias! Mmmm

lol, I dont think so. But I am sure we know some of the same people. I was supposed to go home last week for the big "Harvest of Harmony" thing in GI then Doniphans parade stuff. Opted not too. lol I doubt I missed much cept seeing which of the breeders had more children. Crazy small town folk. Eeshh.
