Well I use to run camera for a local music video show called Secondary Emission and I got to meet quite a few bands and singers.  Most notably Jewel.  She was soooo sweet.  She should have been my girlfriend.  ;)  Met Poe too and even though I was not the interviewer I had asked her about her interest in Star Wars because of her "Jedi Mind Tricks" lyric reference.  Turns out her dad was a speech therapist and one of his clients was James Earl Jones aka the voice of Darth Vader.  Who knew she was such a nerd.  ;)  Anyway out of the 4 of us I was personally invited by her to come on her tour bus where she autographed a copy of her CD for me.  Even drew an alien on it.  haha  Others I met at Ranch Bowl; Nada Surf, Edwin McCain, Bare Naked Ladies, Phunk Junkeez, Local H...and we can't forget about the Blue Moon Ghetto days.  Best band never to make it out of Omaha and probably the best Omaha band ever.  311 isn't too bad either.  ;)  Oh yeah I was an intern at 93 KROCK under Nicki Bouley.  Yep that was a long time ago.
